Dear Parent/Guardian,
I just wanted to write you a short note to remind you that the PSSA testing will begin April 4th. The class has been working very hard to get ready for the PSSA. They have really come a long way since the beginning of the year! I just would like to say that I am very proud of their hard work!
There are nine sections of the test (1 writing, 3 reading, 3 math & 2 science ). We will be taking one section each morning. This testing will only be in the mornings, so it is EXTREMELY important that each child arrive to school ON TIME. Students MUST be in the classroom at 8:45 or they will be marked tardy. If you know your child will not be at school on a particular day, please call the school so we know not to expect your child for testing that day. Make-up days are built into the schedule and can be used if needed. Late children will not be permitted into the classroom after testing has begun, so as to not disturb those already testing.
There are a few other little things that can help this time of testing go smoothly. Please be sure that your child gets plenty of rest and eats a good breakfast during these testing days. The homework load is usually very light at this time so that the children can relax and be ready for the next day.
Thank you very much for your help in these matters.
Sincerely,
Miss Donna Chajko
